Maria is Co-Founder of AGC Partners, and is a partner in the investment banking group focused on the IT security and data center and communication sectors. Prior to co-founding AGC, Maria was a co-founder, general and venture partner of Castile Ventures, a seed and early stage venture capital firm. Maria’s early Wall Street career spanned three firms – Smith Barney, Shearson Lehman and Cowen & Co., culminating as global head of Cowen’s data networks & Internet investment banking activities. Previously, she was named to the Institutional Investor All-American Research Team for 13 consecutive years. Maria holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University, an M.B.A. from Wharton School of Business and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Ed is an entrepreneur, strategist, and security expert. He has launched five start-ups, raised more than $350 million in public and private offerings, and has been part of 30 mergers and acquisitions—as buyer, seller, executive, or advisor—with a total market value of nearly $1 billion. Ed has bachelors’ degrees in physics and Russian and masters’ degrees in physics and the history and philosophy of science.
Sam launched Fast Orientation in 2014 and is responsible for product vision and leading the company's security consulting practice.
After earning his doctorate in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, Sam led an academic security research lab and launched two security start-ups. He has provided expert technology and security assessments of dozens of organizations and vendor products, including diligence for more than a dozen mergers and acquisitions with a total market value exceeding $250 million. Sam has also served as an expert witness in several high-profile security, software, and network-related lawsuits. His work and research have been covered in publications including Wired, The New York Times, The Washington Post, New Scientist, CNET, ZDNet, and slashdot.
Manuel D. Medina has more than 30 years of experience as a highly successful businessman with expertise in areas including technology, finance, international business, and government contracting.
Medina was the Founder, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ until April of 2011 when Terremark was acquired by Verizon. Medina began his career in 1974 as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He founded Terremark in 1980 and undertook complex infrastructure projects throughout the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. Medina’s vision transformed Terremark from a commercial real estate company into a global technology leader. He raised over $1 billion for Terremark, expanded its industry leading services globally, and stewarded it through the very difficult financial environments in 2000, 2008 and to an ultimate sale to Verizon for an enterprise value of $2 billion.
Dov Yoran has a career-long focus in information security. He is the Sr. Director of Strategy and Business Development for the Security Business Group. He came to Cisco as part of the ThreatGRID acquisition in June of 2014. Dov was co-founder and CEO of ThreatGRID, the first unified malware analysis and threat intelligence solution that helps organizations defend against advanced cyber attacks. Prior to that, he was a co-founder and partner at MetroSITE Group, an advisory services firm to both emerging security companies and large enterprises. Previously, he held several leadership roles at Solutionary (now NTT), Symantec, Riptech (acquired by Symantec) and Accenture.
Dov is a Founding Member of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), serves on the Boards of the NY Metro ISSA and CSA chapters and frequently speaks at industry conferences. He has a Masters in Science (MS) in Engineering Management with a concentration in Information Security Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science (BS), cum laude, in Chemistry from Tufts University.
